danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances


hi danzbuddies,

here are details of new dances to be shared this week:

- 'Cha Cha Romo' by Gordon Timms & Alison Johnstone. 32 count, 2 wall intermediate level dance. 3 easy tags. Using the song 'Todo Todo Todo' by Daniela Romo. A nice easy dance!


-'Ain't No Fool' by Justine Brown. 48 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. 2 tags. Nuice country song used - 'Giddy On Up' by Laura Bell Bundy. A somewhat fast dnace but should be manageable with practice.


- 'Dr Flame' by Kate Sala, Vivienne Scot, Robbie McGowan Hickie & Fred Buckley. 64 count, 4 wall , intermediate dance. Nice song used - 'New Flame' by Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels. The dance steps may seem difficult at first, but will be enjoyed when you get used to dancing them.


- 'Open Book' by Jo Thompson. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance. This is a nice and easy slow rumba dance. Truly, a no stress dance.

danzbuddies April LD Party

Saturday, April 16th 2011 Tanglin CC once again reverberated with the sound of Line Dance music as it welcomed 100 over danzbuddies and friends to its April 'Songkran Celebration' Dance Party.



The 'Songkran New Year' theme had some danzbuddies attending in Thai gears and elephants were the favourites for the day.....






The dancing quickly got off to a good start with everyone enjoying the the dances played, including all the favourite "Thai Dances".......like "Khoo Kaat, 'Pathumwan Princess', 'Thai Hati', 'Hot Chilli Cha' and 'Cute Thai Cha, '.









Dinner time came and everyone took a breather to enjoy the 'Nasi Lemak' dinner with the usual free flow of drinks....





























Another great party we had - thanks to the good support from danzbuddies and friends.......


Again, a big 'Thank You' to Alan for taking the photos.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

here are details of new dances to be shared this week:



-'Something In The Water' by Niels Poulsen. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance. No Tags , No Restarts. Song used is 'Something in The Water' by Brooke Fraser. An easy 'no stress' dance.


- 'Party Freak' by Kate Sala. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level dance. Song used is the very popular 'On The Dance Floor' by Jennifer Lopez. This song is used for another dance - 'On The Floor'. We like this Kate Sala choreography better - the steps go well with the song. Note, there is one restart.


- 'The Coconut Tree' by Francien Sittrop. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance using the song 'Coconut Tree' by Mohombi. No Tags, No Restarts . Song has strong beats and well suited to the dance steps.


- 'Open Book' by Jo Thompson. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance. Great song used , 'Open Book' by Scooter Lee. A good slow dance at a very relaxed pace.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies, . here are details of dances we shall be sharing this week: . - 'True Love Two Step' - by Jo Thompson, Michael Barr and Michele Burton. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. Not exactly a new dance (its a May 2010 dance) but the dance is so easy, nice and enjoyable - we thought, let's give it a try ! Like the song 'True Love' by Nancy Hays. . - 'Sun Of Jamaica' by Tina Chen. 64 count, 2 wall , low intermediate level dance. Two tags and one Restart. We like the great dance track used, 'Sun Of Jamaica' by Goombay Dance Band. The dance steps are easy - a 'no stress' dance. . -'To Be Loved' by Robbie McGowan Hickie. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. Song used is 'Loved' by Edei, a nice beaty and danceable number. Steps seems challenging but really are not difficult.

danzbuddies - Visit to Singapore Christian Home for the Aged

Saturday April 2nd 2011

Our danzbuddies joined MP Minister Lui Tuck Yew and other members of Moulmein Goldhill NC on a visit to the Singapore Christian Home for the Aged on Saturday. The danzbuddies Ukulele Group entertained the crowd with a half-hour session of music and songs.


A big 'Thank You' to all those who turned up in support of the event.

- 'Prince Charming' by Kate Sala and Rob Fowler. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. Song used is 'In My Bed' by Edei, a good nice 'heavy beat' song, well suited to the dance.


- 'Make This Day' by Rachael McEnaney. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance . Note, there are 2 restarts. The song used is 'Make This Day' by Zac Brown Band.


- 'Have I Told You' by Carol - Crazyhorse - Bates. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. with a fun ending. The steps are easy - just note that the ending of the dance involves a much faster steps in keeping with the song's 'speedier ending'
