danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

A warm welcome to Tony and Lucy Jerome from the UK, joining our Wednesday class during their visit. Here are details of the dances we will be sharing this week:

- 'Something Good' by Maggie Gallagher. 48 counts. 4 walls, intermediate level. One restart on Wall 3. Great song 'I'm Into Something Good ' by The Bird & The Bee. Although not a beginner dance, its not too difficult to cause stress.....

- 'Downtown' by Gordon Elliott. 64 count. 2 walls. intermediate level. Tags at the end of walls 1, 3 and 5. Good song 'Downtown' , version used is by Dolly Parton. Dance may be 64 counts, but steps are fairly easy, no complicated turns....... should be popular......

- 'Parachute' by Peter & Alison. 32 count. 4 walls. intermediate level. With one tag at the end of wall 5. Song 'Parachute is by Cheryl Cole. Nice choreographed steps with some interesting flicks...a nice dance, currently popular at parties....

here are details of new dances we will be sharing this week:

- 'Easy Bad Boy' by Joey Prieur. 32 counts, 2 wall, beginner level, no tag, no restart. Song used is Imelda's May's "Big Bad Handsome Man". An easy, 'no stress' dance. Click to see the video.

- 'Stomp & Kick' by Kate Sala, danced to a nice Amy Diamond song "Don't Lose Any Sleep Over You". 40 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. 3 tags at the end of walls 2, 4 and 6. Steps are not the regular type - some interesting variations in the dance routine. Click to see video.

- 'Can You Feel Me' by Chris Cleevely. 64 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. no tag, no restart. Nice song "Can You Feel Me" by Michael Bolton. Although rthere're 64 counts, steps are easy to learn. Click to see video.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are details of dances to be taught this week,

- 'Call Me Crazy' by Sebastian Holtland. 48 counts, 4 walls , intermediate level. One restart at Wall 3. Song is 'Crazy Progressive' by Kaci Battaglia. Steps are easy but the song is quite fast. You'll need to be focussed to keep in step. A nice enjoyable dance. Click to see video.

- 'Here 'Til The End' by Ryan King. 64 counts, 2 wall, intermediate level. One restart during wall 2. Nice song 'Do You Wanna Be My Friend. by Alex Swings Oscar Sings'. Easy to learn steps, should be no problem for most. Click to see video.

- 'Walking In The Rain' by Maggie Gallagher. 64 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. Another nice song fro Alex Swings Oscar Sings 'Walking In The Rain'. Steps are nice and easy. There are two simple tags at the end of Wall 2 and Wall 4.

here are details of the dances we are sharing this week:

- 'Teresa Teng' by Rep Ghazali. 32 counts, 4 walls, beginner level. Danced to a very nice song by Teresa Teng (you'll want to sing along....) Steps are real easy, no tag, no restart - so enjoy. Click to watch video.

- 'In Private' another good choreography from Rep Ghazali. 64 counts, 2 wall, intermediate level. Note, one restart on wall 2. Nice song by Dusty Springfield . Click to watch video.

- 'Rockin' That Body Body' by Michele Perron. 64 counts, 2 walls, intermediate level. Song used is 'Body Body' by Massari. Steps are well choreographed , not too easy, not too difficult A very popular dance. Click to see video.

here are details of the new dances we will share this week:

- 'When Will I Be Loved' by Vikki Morris to the song of the same name sang by John Fogarty & Bruce Springsteen. 32 counts, 4 walls, beginner level, 2 easy tags at the end of wall 3 and 7. Easy dance steps throughout, goes well with the song. Click to see VIDEO of the dance.

- 'Linda Eh' by Ira Weisburd. Another easy beginner level dance. 64 count, 1 wall. Song used is a very latin number - 'Linda Eh' by Grupo Maria. The dance is easy to catch - it has elements of Merengue, Bachata, Samba, etc - a great easy dance! Click to see VIDEO of the dance.

- 'Fever' by Esmeralda Van De Pol to song of the same name by Cascada. 64 counts. 2 walls, Intermediate level. A fairly fast dance but with many familiar step routines. No tag, no restart.

danzbuddies Wednesday class - new dances


hi danzbuddies,

we are sharing 3 nice dances this week - they are:

- 'Kinda Busy' by Craig Bennett ( the guy who gave us 'Senorita'). 32 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. It's a short dance choreographed to Lady Gaga's 'Telephone'. An easy dance to learn, should be no problem for all.......

- 'Nitty Gritty' by Robbie McGowan Hickie. 48 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. There's one tag at the end of Wall 2. Danced to 'Nitty Gritty' song by Kimberly Cole. Steps are typical of McGowan dances - not too difficult and not too easy, with quite a lot of syncopated steps. Another well choreographed dance from Robbie....

- ' Martini Moments' by Francien Sittrop. 64 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. Note, there are two restarts and one tag. Nice song used for the dance - 'A Night Like This ' from Caro Emerald.
Well choreographed dance, steps go well with the song.

REMINDER! We start a new 8-module class and collect class fees on Wednesday 6th January.

Dances to be shared this week are:

- 'EZ Waltz' by Juliet Lam. 48 counts, 2 walls, beginner level. One Restart (Wall 2). Danced to a nice oldie waltz song 'Shake Me I Rattle' by Christy Lane. An easy-going 'no stress' dance - just nice to start the New Year with.........

- 'Melody D'Amour' by Diana Dawson. 64 counts, 4 walls, beginner level. Two tags. Another nice easy 'no stress' dance. Song used is another great oldie 'Melody D'Amour' by the Ames Brothers.

- 'N Y Cha' by Neville Fitzgerald & Julie Harris. 64 counts, 2 walls, intermediate level. A popular dance on the party circuit currently. Song used - 'New York' is by Paloma Faith

danzbuddies wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are details of new dances we will be sharing this week:

- ' And I Love You So' by Lily Iguchi. 32 count, 4 wall, intermediate level. This dance won 1st place at Division 3 in the choerography competition at the recent Vegas Dance Explosion event. Nice song by Elvis Presley. A slow and easy going dance.

- 'Love Ya' by Kate Sala and Robbie McGowan Hickie. 64 count. 2 wall, intermediate level. Another well choreographed dance from Kate and Robbie. Dance goes well with the 'Love Me' song from Justin Bieber.

-' Soluna-' by Sophia Christiansen. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level. Nice samba beat dance. Good song 'Soluna' by Los Pinguos. The 64 count routine may seem daunting, but is actually quite easy to manage.......

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are dances to be taught this week......

- 'Legends' by Maureen & Michele. 32 count, 2 wall, beginner level. Another dance choreographed to a popular Beatles hit - this time, its 'Eight Days A Week'............ A very easy, 'no stress' type dance, enjoy it.......

- 'La Cancion Del Velero' by Baila Baila Zumbido. 64 count, 4 wall , intermediate level. Note the two tags and one restart. Song of the same name by La Fiesta. A bit challenging, steps are well crafted and goes quite well with the music. A very popular dance on the party circuit these days.

- ' All I Want Is You' by Maggie Gallagher. 48 count, 2 wall, intermediate level . Two tags. Nice song 'All I Want Is You' by Kim Sozzi. There are a couple of full turns but its a relatively easy dance.

We will share an easy Christmas dance:

- 'Rock 'n' Roll' by Robbie McGowan Hickie. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Great Christmas song 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' by The Bellamy Brothers.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are details of the dances we will be sharing this week......

- 'Senorita' by Craig Bennet. 48 count, 2 wall, beginner level. One tag to be dance at the end of wall 3 (note - there is error in the published stepsheet which incorrectly says end of wall 5). Another simple tag to be done at the end of wall 6 (not wall 7 as wrongly stated in published stepsheet). Nice lively song 'Senorita' by Alex Swings & Oscar Sings.

- 'Bailando' by Peter Ng. 32 count, 2 wall, beginner level. (Also can be a contra line dance). Two tags to be done after walls 2 and 5. Song used is 'Bailando Bailando' by Permiso Extraordinario. An easy dance with some interesting steps. A popular dance on the party circuit this week.

- 'About A Girl' by Neville Fitzgerald & Julie Harris. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level. Note - there are THREE restarts. Good song 'About A Girl' by Sugababes. A bit challenging, but an enjoyable dance if you manage to master the 8 sections.....

danzbuddies Wednesday class - new dances


hi danzbuddies,

dances to be shared during our Wednesday class are as follows:

- 'Rum 'n' Cocaah Cola' by Ria Vos. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Danced to a lively song -
'Rum 'N' Coca Cola by Tim Tim. An easy dance, with one simple tag at the end of the first wall, be mindful of all the '&' counts.

- 'Disco Shuffle' by Peter Giam, danced to a Lady Gaga song - 'Disco Heaven'. 64 count, 2 wall, high beginner level, one easy tag at end of wall 5. Although there are 64 counts, the steps are quite simple with some mirror-like variations. a good choreography, goes well with the song.

- 'What About' by Maggie Gallagher. Nice song used - 'What About Now' by Westlife. 40 count, 4 wall, intermediate level. One restart during wall one. Quite a challenging dance with many challenging turns.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - New Dances

REMINDER!! - this Wednesday is the eight and last session in the current module, meaning - please bring class fee for the next module hor......

Details of dances to be shared this week are as follows:

- 'Just Seventeen' by Doug & Jackie Miranda (mmm, haven't had a good dance from them in a while - this may be one....). 64 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Two easy re-starts. Danced to the Beatles song " I Saw Her Standing There'. Steps are easy and go quite well with the song.

- 'Back To Boogaloo' by JR's. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level. No tag, no restart. Good song, 'Barcelona' by Bodies Without Organs. The 64-count dance steps may seem daunting - but, do not fret - there are no complicated moves - should be manageable by all.......

- ' Tangoed' by Adrian Churm. 64 count, 4 wall, High Intermediate level. Two restarts. Nice Tango song - Tango! Tango! by Andres Eseche. Nice Tango steps in the dance, goes well with the song. Some of the steps may be a challenge, but should be mamageable with some practice. A great dance

- 'Tweety Rock' by Crystal Lee. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Danced was taught at our September Party. It is gaining popularity. Its an easy to do dance - good for those who like 'no stress' type dances.

here are dances to be shared during class this week:
- 'Under The Sun' by Kathy Chang & Sue Hsu. 32 count, 2 wall, beginner level. No tag, no restart. Nice heavy-beat song - 'Under The Sun' by Tim Tim. A really simple 'no stress' dance.
- 'Mexicali' by Robbie McGowan Hickie. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level with one tag at end of wall 2. Nice country song 'Mexico' by Tobias Rene. As with many of Robbie's dances, this is an easy flowing dance with none of those complicated turns. Should do well.
- ' Straight Thru' by Neville Fitzgerald & Julie Harris. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level. One restart on wall 5. Dance to the Backstreet Boys' popular song 'Straight Through My Heart'. A well choreographed dance, currently very popular at parties......
- 'Japanese Rumba' by Kenny Teh. 64 count, 4 wall, beginner level. The song 'Japanese Rumba Coconut Remix' is cute - by Towa Tei, it makes you wanna dance. An easy dance, although some steps need getting used to.....We had seberal requests to try it out, so let's see...........

Hi danzbuddies,

Here are the new dances to be shared for this week - since we are having our 'Teacher's Day' party, we'll do just three dances to allow more time for makan-makan:

- 'Love, Love Me Do' choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin (Hari Ram). 52 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Well crafted danced, goes well with the song by The Beatles.

- 'Love Love Love' by Maggie Gallagher using the song of the same name by Agnes. 40 count, 4 wall , intermediate level. A nice '8&1 type cha cha' dance.

- 'Nobody, But You' by Emily Woo in Canada. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level. Danced to a great song 'Nobody' by Wonder Girls. Watch out for the nice hand actions in wall 5........
