danzbuddies Wednesday class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are details of dances we will share this week:

- 'American Cowboy' by Peter & Alison. 64 counts, 2 walls, beginner level. One restart during wall 2. An easy dance, steps go well with the song - 'American Cowboy' by Jada.

- 'Rhyme or Reason' by Rachael McEnaney. 64 counts, 4 walls, beginner level. One restart during wall 3. Another easy to manage dance . Song used is 'It Happens' by Sugarland.

- 'Tomorrow's Sorrow' by Rep Ghazali. Danced to a very nice version of 'Without You' by Collin Raye with Susan Ashton. 32 counts, 2 walls, intermediate level. Tag and restart on 5th wall. There seems to be many complicated turns, but song is slow, gives you time to do the turns.

- 'Bubble Gum Cowboy' by Jules Langstaff. 32 counts, 2 walls, beginner level. A very easy 'fun dance' with a cute song by Loco Loco.

danzbuddies 'Back to Skool' Party - 23rd Jan 2010

Saturday, 23rd January 2010

We want to say a big 'Thank You' to all our danzbuddies and friends for cominig to our 'Back to Skool' party - we appreciate the effort put in by so many danzbuddies who came in their school uniforms....

We enjoyed dancing many of the older dances - they brought back lots of good memories of our early years together - when dances were easy to learn and nice to do, when there was no getting all stressed up with the need to play 'catch up' on new dances which often fall by the wayside only weeks after you learned.
Moving forward, we will continue to be selective in introducing the type of new dances to our members and our parties will always have a good mix of easy dances, old favourites and the really popular new dances.
A reminder - our next party will be held on SUNDAY February 28th , 'Chap Goh Meh'- It will be another interesting theme party , so don't miss it.
A big Thank You' also to Alan Khoo for taking and sending us the photographs.........

danzbuddies @ Moulmein FLC Social Dance Party - 23 January 2010

23rd January 2010

Some of our danzbuddies were keen supporters at a new Social Dance Interest Group event organised by the Moulmein Family Life Champion Committee headed by our dear friend Doris Tan. Tanglin CC resident line dance instructress Rosemary Ang was on hand to put the dancers through their paces ; she was assisted by other regular dancers - William, Ben and K C.
Together, they were able to get the group to dance the cha cha cha, disco rock and merengue....

The Moulmein FLC Social Dance Interest Group meets once a month and we welcome all interested in social dance to come and join the group - it's about bringing people together, building friendship and having fun through dance. For more details , please contact Ms. Doris Tan at doristansc@hotmail.com.
