danzbuddies - jam session @ Kallang Theatre

To celebrate 'Deepavali' ou danzbuddies gathered at the 'Orchid Room' at Kallang Theatre for a Line Dance jam. We enjoyed the dances - some old favourites and a couple of new dances (see next post for details of the new dances shared). There was great food and nice company too.......

details of dances shared this week at Kallang Theatre jam session are as follows:

- 'Spend the Night' by Vikki Morris. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner dance. Using a nice song 'Why Don't You Spend the Night' by Ray Dylan. Note the tag at the end of wall 4.

- 'Dirty Dancer' by Jo Kinser, Daniel Trepat & Neils Poulsen. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate dance. One restart during Wall 5 . Music used is the popular number by Enrique Iglesias 'Dirty Dancer'....Steps may seem daunting, but not too difficult. There are a few nice moves in the dance.......

details of new dances we are sharing for the week is as follows:

- 'Shirley's Shake' by Marie Sorensen. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance.

Music used is 'Country Girl' by Luke Bryan. A nice easy dance - no tags, no restarts.

- 'Adonde Voy' by Juliet Lam. 48 count, 2 wall, beginner level Waltz dance.

Using a nice Linda Ronstadt song 'Adonde Voy'.

- 'I Want You' by Julia Wetzel. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level dance. Song used is 'I Want You' by Kelly Clarkson.

details of dances to be shared this week are as follows:

- 'La Luna' by Peter & Alison. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate dance. No tag, No restart . Using the same 'Classy Cha' music - 'Stand By Me' by Prince Royce . Steps for this dance are nicer...

- 'A Lady In Blue' by Wil Bos & Juliet Lam. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level dance. Nice song used, 'Lady In Blue' by Bouke. Song is nice and slow, goes well with the dance. Tag to be done at the end of Walls 2 and 4.

- 'Bollywood' by Daniel Whittaker. 56 count, 2 wall, intermediate dance. Song used is the popular Hindi pop 'Halle Decale' by DJ Mam's. Note the tags and restart ! An energetic and interesting dance.

new dances we shall be sharing this week are as follows:

- 'Let's Do It, Let's Do It Together' by Rep Ghazali. 32 count , 2 wall,beginner level dance. Good song used - 'Mama Told Me' by Fantastique. An easy 'no stress' dance.

- 'Never Ending Party' by Ria Vos. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. Although at 64 counts, steps are fairly easy and song is quite slow. The Tamra Rosanes song 'Life Can Be A Party' is nice.

- 'London Rhythm Swing' by Audri R. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance. Using a nice song 'London Rhythm' by The Jive Aces. A nice easy 'no stress' dance.
