More Visitors from Overseas

7th March 2010

We had the pleasure of hosting a couple more visitors from overseas over the weekend - in addition to Tony and Lucy from the UK , we hosted two fine gentlemen from Adelaide, Australia - Glen Blanchard and Kim Roberts. It was a good opportunity for us to bring them to our favourite 'Chiili Crab' restaurant - the Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood Restaurant at Casuarina Road.

Together with danzbuddy Amy who is playing host to Tony and Lucy at her home, the 7 of us were able to order a greater variety of dishes - fried baby squids, mee goreng, deep fried fish, prawn paste chicken, steamed prawns and of course the famous Sri Lankan chilli crabs. What a feast, every dish thoroughly enjoyed by all.

After dinner, we went for a visit to the Night Safari - one big tourist attraction we ourselves had never gone to......what a shame, eh?.....well, we made it, finally and contrary to expectation, found it rather interesting.....

The four visitors were still with us the next day as they joined us for our Sunday Line Dance Jam - we enjoyed Tony's performance of 'Islands in the Stream' again.
After all the dancing, we all joined the 'Mee Siam' Cooking Workshop conducted by Marianne Lim and enjoyed a delicious lunch of mee siam, mung bean soup and plentiful glasses of 'shandy'.
