Some of our danzbuddies joined in a day of education, dancing, singing and great dining at a Moulmein Family Day event on May 30th. A total of 210 participants attended the event, including Guests of Honour, Acting Minister and Member of Parliment Mr. Lui Tuck Yew and his family.
The Family Day event was jointly organised by Moulmein Family Life Champion Committee headed by Ms Doris Tan, Ah Hood Gardens RC, Balestier NC and Goldhill NC.
We had a great time together - first visiting the Asian Civilisation Museum to see the 'Treasury of The World' exhibition.
There was a Quiz Contest on various landmarks along the historic 'Civic District Trial'.
After the Museum Visit, we adjourned to O'Leary's Sports Bar and Grill at the Singapore Flyer building where the danzbuddies wasted no time in getting onto the dance floor to boogie away....
Dinner time saw the Ukulele buddies in action as they went on stage to entertain the crowd with a number of 'sing-along' numbers......(see next blog for more on the ukulele buddies....)
All those who took part in the 'Civic District Trial' Quiz were happy to get their prizes....
Many participants came in big family groups...... we saw a lot of children and grandparents and the '3-generational' families were given prizes........
It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and to hear them say good things about the ambience in the restaurant......
The participants also had a great time visiting the Helix Bridge and the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort. The highlight for some of them was the visit to the 3rd Level of the Intergrated Resort where they were able to have a bird's eye view of the whole Casino....
Once again, a big 'Thank You' to all danzbuddies and families who came to support the Moulmein Family Day event.
Watch out for our announcement on the next event to be held at the O'Leary's Sports Bar & Grill -
the danzbuddies 11th Anniversary Celebration Party will be held at O'Leary's on 31st July in conjunction with the Goldhill NC's National Day Celebration Get-together Party.
Come and join us for a night of dining, dancing, watching the National Day Parade Rehearsal flypast and firework display and more....
