danzbuddies 'Mid-Autumn Festival' Celebration Party

Saturday, 3rd October 2009

We had a real blast of a party on Saturday at Tanglin CC with a hundred over danzbuddies and friends turning up - many in 'oriental outfits' , to celebrate 'Mid-Autumn Festival' - and, this year the traditional Mid-Autumn full-moon night happened to fall on 3rd October. We were all in a celebratory mood and made an effort to have a truly magical and enchanting evening of feasting, dancing and fun!
The Chinese Tea stall was a great hit - it attracted many repeat visitors who came by to enjoy many a cup of 'pu-er', 'jasmine', 'longjing' and 'rose' tea brewed to perfection by the 'Tea Master' in attendance.

Dinner time - and everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious 'nasi lemak' dinner catered by Haja Monah Kitchen from Newton Food Centre. As always, its 'thumbs up' for a great meal.......

After dinner, we had the honour of having Choreographer Crystal Lee going up on stage to introduce and walk through her dances - 'Pattycake Waltz' and 'Tweety Rock', both easy dances for beginners which were well received by the crowd.
Once again, many danzbuddies came forward to help with the dee jay service - a big 'Thank You' to Maizie, Tang, Lay Kuan, Richard and William for helping out. We also thank all danzbuddies for the support and assistance in making the party such an enjoyable one -

"Together, we ALL make it happen!"

REMINDER ! Our next 'theme party' is planned for November 7th - we are celebrating 'Deepavali' and will have a 'Bollywood Theme'. Keep this date free...... for another FUN PARTY.
