Trip to Malacca

We spent a fruitful weekend with Minister Mr Lui Tuck Yew and fellow Moulmein grassroots leaders at their annual Retreat and Workplan seminar.....

We even had a chance to shop at the Johore Premium Outlets..........
all very nice - but with prices we really don't think are good enough.....

Hi danzbuddies,

here are details of dances we are sharing this week:

- 'Sundancer' by Peter & Alison. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance. No tags , no restarts. Using a nice number, 'Here Comes The Sun' by Tim Tim. A no stress dance.

- 'Dancing Heart' - another easy and simple nice dance by Ira Weisburd. 32 count, 2 wall, no tags, no restartsSong used is a 'samba rhythm' number - 'Cuore Ballerino' by Orchestra Mario Riccardi.

- 'Fresh' by Jo & John Kinser. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level dance with 2 restarts. Song used is 'Fresh' by Beat System. Steps may seem challenging, but are manageable with practice.

Appreciation Awards for danzbuddies

Tanglin CC recognised the 12-year long contribution of danzbuddies to the CC's line dance scene with a "remarkable contributions..." award presented to Rosemary by Grassroots Adviser Minister Lui Tuck Yew at Tanglin CC 'Volunteers Appreciation Nite'

K C Ang received two awards for long service to Tanglin CC SCEC and for support of Tanglin Music Club recent music studio renovation project.

A big 'THANK YOU" to all danzbuddies who came to give us your heart-warming cheers - you really showed our strength with the big turn-out. Thanks also for supporting our danzbuddies, Alan & Margaret Khoo who were helming the Ukulele Band performance at the courtyard.

-' Canta Canta Canta' by John Wamars. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level dance with 2 restarts (Walls 3 and 6). Using a nice song 'Canta Canta Canta' from Frank Galan's "Feista d'Amor" album.

- 'The Same Star' by Robbie McGowan Hickie. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level dance. with 1 restart (wall 5). Song used is 'The Same Star' by Ruslana. Great song with strong 'dance beats'.

Tanglin CC danzbuddies held their February LD Party in the Tanglin CC Hall last Saturday. It was good to be back at the CC Hall !

The DJs were raring to go......the dancing got off to a quick start......

It is always nice to get together with buddies and friends

The 'nasi lemak' dinner was good, as usual......

Your 'Friends' can come and go...........

but your Buddies are there always for you!

- 'Chi Balla' by Ira Weisburd. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance. No tag, no restart. Using a nice polka rhythm song "Chi Balla' by Orchestra Mario Riccardi. Another easy 'no stress' dance from Ira.

- 'Doo Wah Diddy' by Michele Godard. 48 count, 4 wall, beginner level dance . Note the restart at wall 4. Great music used - DJ Otzi rendition of the classic song 'Doo Wah Diddy'

- 'Shame & Scandal In The Family' by Rep Ghazali. 64 count, 2 wall, easy intermediate level dance. Note the 3 tags at walls 2, 4 and 5. We love the song by Dr Victor & Rasta Rebels - a real fun number !

- 'Always An Angel' by Paul & Karla Dornstedt. 48 count, 4wall, intermediate level dance. Using a nice waltz number "You Are Like An Angel To Me" by Elvis-sound-alike , Bouke.

- 'I'm In Love' by Maggie Gallagher. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level dance. This is a fairly fast dance with some nice steps. Song used is "I'm In Love" by Sanna Nielsen.

- 'Bug In My Margarita' by Peter & Alison. 64 count, 2 wall, Beginner level dance. Steps are easy to catch - nice country song by Alan Jackson "Long Way To Go" to go along with the dance.
