16 October 2009We are proud to announce the formation of yet another new danzbuddies 'Interest Group' - The Danzbuddies Ukulele Band. Currently with 11 members, the group came together on Friday night, 16th October to master the intricacies of playing the ukulele under the expert tutelege of Ukulele Master, Richard Chong from the The Ukelele School. 
For many of us who have not played any musical instrument before, it all seems so daunting at first, but Richard was patient and very good in his coaching method - slowly bringing us from scratch to getting to know how to tune the instrument and learning various chords. We were drilled into strumming the chords over and over, again and again - and before we knew it, we were playing and singing 'Diana', 'Rejoice In The Lord Always', 'You Are My Sunshine', 'When The Saints Go Marching In' and a few other numbers. Well, its not 'The Beatles' standard yet, but we were playing together as a band! which gave us all a great sense of achievement......
