30th November - 1st December 2009The danzbuddies had a whale of a time in Macau, especially with the 'VIP' treatment we got at the MGM Grand Resort. It was a pleasant surprise for us to be upgraded to stay in the MGM Grand suites in the VIP Wing. The suites were really grand with spacious sitting room, dining room, kitchenette, walk in wardrobe, jacuzzi, bath-tub with flt-screen tv, double wash basins, the works. The suites were so luxurious, we didn't want to leave...... 
The facilities around the MGM Grand were also first class - infinity pool, Six Senses Spa, a great 'Courtyard' sporting countless pandas, shops and of course , a great casino. So, it was a case of "so much to do, so little time....." 
It was time to go and visit the most famous Macau landmark - the old Ruins of St. Paul, to the nearby streets to shop for almond biscuits and other goodies and to have dinner...
Unfortunately, we couldn't join the other danzbuddies for dinner as one of us got sick and we had to head back to MGM Grand - we settled for room service and an early night rest ....
The next day - day 6 and 'd day' for us, time to depart for the journey home. We checked out, took the taxi to Macau Ferry Terminal and caught the direct ferry to Hong Kong Airport ferry terminal where we checked in our bags and got our boarding pass for the flight home- really convenient. From there it was a quick check through immigration and then a short transfer to our terminal to wait for the boarding call.
