danzbuddies trip to Shenzhen & Macau - Part 2

Saturday, 28 November 2009

It's Day 3 and we were back at the Laurel Restaurant to enjoy their nice breakfast dishes - our favourites were the various types of 'pau', especially their 'special cream pau'..... After breakfast, we headed to the shuttle bus station to catch the bus ride to the Queen Spa - an amazing spacious 6-storey recreational complex where we spent the rest of the morning enjoying the great varieties of services on offer - foot reflexology, body massage, hot bath, relaxation lounge with free fruits and drinks....... Back to the Louwo Plaza, we had lunch at another popular restaurant - the Lee Yuen Restaurant and after that......more shopping! For dinner we decided to go for the buffet spread offered at the Shangila Hotel......such a great variety of dishes were on offer, we had a hard time deciding what to eat! Sunday November and Day 4 it was - we decided to visit the hairdressers at the Luowo Plaza - this is no ordinary hairdressinf salon though - they offer facials, reflexology, body massage, and a whole array of hair treatment services. So, all of us went for whatever took our fancy...... After all the new hair-dos were done, we adjourned for lunch at Lee Yuen Restaurant , again.......yes that's how much we liked the food there.
After that, more 'last minute' shopping as we were to leave for Macau the next day........For Dinner we decided to splurge on a nice dinner at the Shangrila's '360' Restaurant - formerly a
revolving restaurant - it wasn't turning , but we still had some great views to go with nice steaks and wine. Monday, 30 November, 2009

It was time to check out of the Shangrila hotel and travel on to Macau via Chu Hai. We needed a fairly big bus by then as the number of luggage bags had doubled in number! It was a long overland journey from Shenzhen to Macau - but we had a delicious lunch break in between...... Finally, we arrived at the Chu Hai / Macau border and managed to dragged our many luggages through immigration and customs and to the shuttle bus which took us to the MGM Grand ....
