danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

details of new dances we are sharing this week are as follows:

- 'A Little Dreamin' by Pamela Hunt. 32 count, 2 wall, beginner level dance. One Restart on wall 5. Nice song used - 'Dreamin' by Johnny Burnette, a classic rendition of the popular old song. A no-stress dance.

- 'Cool Cat' by Francien Sittrop. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate dance. No tag, no restart. Song used is 'A Cool Cat in Town' by Tape Five. Although there are 64 counts, the dance steps are fairly easy - a popular dance on the current party circuit.

- 'Get Ready For R.E.V.I.V.A.L' by Rep Ghazali. a phrased dance, 2 wall, intermediate level dance. Take note of the unusual dance sequence. Using a Eurythmics song 'Revival'. Another well choreographed dance from Rep Ghazali.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are new dances we are sharing on Wednesday.........

- 'Blame It On The Girls' by Kate Sala. 64 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. No tag, no restart ! Dance to a nice cute number by MIKA - 'Blame It On The Girls'. Dance steps are fairly easy to catch, except perhaps the last two sections.

- 'You're My Baby Girl' by Emily Woo (Canada). 64 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. One restart. Also note the special ending segment. Great song 'Super Girl' by Super Junior M, the famous boyband originally from S. Korea with members from China, thus the great mix of english and chinese singing. A great dance with some funky hand movements......

- 'Tap Room Boogie' by Robbie McGowan Hickie using a great country number 'Maxine's Tap-Room Boogie' by Travis Kidd. 64 counts, 4 walls, intermediate level. The song is fast, so there is need to focus to keep pace with the dance steps which are really quite easy.

In addition, we shall be doing a 'blast from the past' dance:

- 'Larger Than Life' by Simon Ward. 48 counts, 2 walls, advanced level. Danced to song of the same name by Westlife. A classic, still a popular dance at parties.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

Hi danzbuddies,

here are dances we will share for this week:

- 'KISSING IN THE BACK ROW' - by Karla & Paul Dornstedt. 64 count, 2 wall, beginner level. 2 easy tags (more like restarts, actually). Although dance has 8 sections , most have mirrored routines and steps are the easy types. Nice 'oldies' song by Dominic Kirwan - a good 'no stress' dance.

- 'MAMBOTASTIC' - by Kate Sala. 32 count, 4 wall, intermediate level. 3 tags , going from 6 to 16 to 20 counts on walls 2, 4 and 6 respectively. An interesting choreography with lots of 'mambo steps'.....song is "Do You Remember' by Neil Sedeka.

- 'WHY SO SERIOUS' - by Neville Fitzgerald & Julie Harris. 48 count, 4 wall, intermediate level, with 1 tag. Dance is 2 wall until after the tag, after which it becomes a 2 wall dance. Song used is 'Say It' by Booty Luv. Not so easy but can be enjoyable once you master the steps....

We are introducing a dance based on a 'chinese oldies' song :

- 'MEI LAN MEI LAN WU AI NI' - by Lilian Ti. A phrased dance with part A and Part B, both with very easy steps. We are using a real cha cha cha version of the song and the dance will have the following sequence - 'AAB, AA, AAB, AAB, A ending'

details of dances we will be sharing are as follows:
- ' Turn It Up' by Ria Vos. 32 count, 4 wall, high beginner / intermediate level, 2 restarts and 1 tag. Good song used - 'Turn It Up' by Afro-Dite. Note that the published stepsheets have errors in the wall indications for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th sections......The steps , although not common ones, are easy to manage. A good dance.
- 'Fun House' by Hannah Harrison. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Using the song 'Fun House' by Pink, nice strong beats which goes well with the dance steps. Should go well with our dancers.
- 'Boys Boys Boys Summertime Love' by Rep Ghazali. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level with four restarts. Music used is 'Boys' by Sabrina. Interesting choreography, dance steps may seem daunting but are really not difficult, will grow on you. A good dance, getting very popular at parties.....
We will walk through one easy dance in the SRC Charity Party dance list:
- 'A Good Thing Going On' by Pete Harkness & Gary Lafferty. 32 count, 4 wall, beginner level. Song is Alan Jackson's 'Too Much of A Good Thing Going On'. A 'slow slow' easy dance.....enjoy the really nice country song.

danzbuddies Wednesday Class - new dances

hi danzbuddies,

here are details of dances to be shared this week........

- 'Evacuate The Dance Floor' by Mike Hitchen. 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate level, no tag, no restart. Danced to a nice song by Cascada. Steps throughout the eight sections are quite easy to manage - once you get through the many turns in the first section....! Seems to be a popular dance at various parties.

- ' Love Struck' by Francien Sittrop. 64 count, 4 wall, intermediate level. 2 tags, 3 restarts. Song is by V Factory, a good strong 'Disco Rock' type tempo which gives the dance its punch........a challenging dance but enjoyable when you get it right.

- 'Paradise' by Marie Sorensen. 32 count, 4 wall, Beginner Level. One restart at Wall 2 (after 16 counts). Song used is 'Isle Of Paradise' by Blue Lagoon. This is same song used for earlier 'Isle of Paradise' dance. This dance seems easier and we hope will go well with the many danzbuddies who prefer such 'no stress' type dances.

- 'Playing For Change Stand By Me' by Stella Cabeca. 32 count, 4 wall, Beginner level. A very easy dance with no tag, no restart. Fascinating song! - an award winning documentary called 'Playing for Change: Peace Through Music' The song 'Stand By Me' is played and recorded by various singers and musicians all over the world with the players adding their parts to the beautiful song as it travels the globe...check out the youtube video.........great stuff.
