danzbuddies jam sessions with Mary's Mob

Sep 15th & 17th - Wednesday and Friday jam sessions with Mary's Mob

New Zealander line dance instructress Mary Stanley-Shepherd led a group of 17 of her line dancers from the Cathedral City Line Dance Club to visit the Singapore danzbuddies for the week. Mary's Mob, as they are known, enjoyed two line dance jam sessions plus a great 'Mid-Autumn Festival' Celebration party which we were organising on Saturday 18th September at Tanglin CC.......

The danzbuddies and Mary's Mob hit it off right from the start during our Wednesday class - we were presented with a momento - what an adorable baby lamb - with the cute name: 'Shari Sheep'

Mary shared with us a NZ dance and we shared with the Mob, plenty of the dances currently being danced at our jam sessions......

On Friday, we had a 'Kiwi Nite' party with plenty of great local dishes prepared by our danzbuddies, accompanied by some great New Zealand wines and cheese, courtesy of the Cathedral City Line Dancers

It was our turn to present a momento to Mary's Mob and we were glad that our rat mascot - 'Mee Kee Mao' will now go to a nice new hometown in Christchurch....

While dinner was being served, the danzbuddies ukulele band entertained us with a couple of their favourite songs - they had everyone joined in a rousing sing-along........

However , the dance floor beckoned and we wasted no time in resuming the line dancing....
