danzbuddies Mid-Autumn Festival Party - Part 3

Dinner time at the Courtyard saw plentiful of activities.........there was the live band performance by the 'Blue Pebble' - they entertained us with plenty of English as well as Chinese songs....even Mary and her Mob couldn't help getting on the dance floor to dance to the live music.....

There was a performance by the 'Tai Chi Rhythmic Ball' Group..................
and 'Angklong Band' and Recorder Band performances from San Yu Adventist School........

The Children 'Lantern Colouring' Contest got going and this was followed by the traditional Lantern Parade through the neighbourhood garden......

Some twenty-over elderly inmates from the Singapore Christian Home also joined the party - many thanks to Ms. Doris Tan, Asst. Secretary, Moulmein CCC for making all the arrangements for hosting them and for their sponsorship at the event....
Meanwhile, Ivan and Marcus were doing 'brisk business' at their 'portrait drawing' corner......there was an endless queue of people wanting their 'picture'
drawn.......

At the Courtyard, the 'Pomelo Peeling' Contest got underway....

followed by the ever popular 'Beer Drinking' Competition.....

There was time to catch up with old and new friends - from the various cultural groups

It was wonderful having the Cathedral City Linedancers with us - they really help to make our 'International Nite' theme come alive......

So, a big 'Thank You' to our great guests from NZ led by Mary - thanks for coming to visit in spite of your home city, Christchurch being hit by earthquake just the week before....

And, as usual, many thanks to to all danzbuddies who turned up at the party and especially to those who helped with hosting of our NZ guests - providing them with transport....

Again, to Alan Khoo - thanks for all the photographs..........

We look forward to your support at another great party in October ........mark your diaries - our 'Country & Western' theme party returns on 23rd October......
